First, let me start by saying "I love Thirsties." We tried many different covers while my son was a newborn (Bummis, Litewrap, DiaperWrap, Proraps, the list goes on...) and Thirsties were by far the best. That said, you can imagine how excited I was when they came out with Duos! I bought one in each boy-friendly color in size 2 instead of transitioning to Medium original Thirsties. Big mistake! These are not the same quality as the originals AT ALL. I think the inner laminate must be made of slightly different material or something because it simply doesn't hold up in the wash! After only two cycles, the waterproof coating began to peel off and crack. I am a cloth diapering addict and am VERY careful about how I wash my dipes and covers. I always line dry them and treat them very gently so I know I didn't do anything wrong to cause this. As a result of the peeling, urine sometimes gets wicked through to the outside cover. I have to say that I LOVE the original Thirsties diaper covers, they are amazing. When I saw that the Thirsties Duo Wrap came out I thought I would give them a try because of the wide size range. I purchased 2 covers and have been using them for the last week. We haven't had any leaks so far. Compared to the size small Thirsties the Duo Wrap is smaller. My 12 lb. baby girl wears these covers at the largest setting (no snaps are snapped) and I don't think they are going to take her to 18 lbs. The trimmer fit makes them a great day time diaper, but not as good as an overnight diaper. Overall I think they are great and I would recommend them for daytime use.

My baby is a big baby so I figured these would save $. They do fit great. I have always liked Thirsties because they have the leg gussets and come in cute colors. However these particular ones, the duo wrap, are a different material from the other Thirsties we have and tend to leak through the material and the trim material gives my baby a little redness if he wears them too long. They are not good overnight covers. They work just fine for a few hours during the day.
