5.0 out of 5 stars keep that stink contained, May 13, 2011

These bags are a lifesaver. Or at least a nose-saver!

I keep a stash of them in my diaper bag and another handful are tucked away in my car. Because, let's face it: dirty diapers STINK, and nobody wants to breathe in that smell a moment longer than necessary during diaper changes. When you're on the go and have to change your little one's diaper some place that doesn't have a garbage can nearby - like, say, in your car - these little bags are SO HELPFUL. They're made to hold in that stink so it doesn't fill the room (or the car, or your diaper bag, or the great outdoors), and thankfully, they succeed!

Just tie that smelly diaper up in one of the bags and set it aside until you can get it into a trash can. They won't contain the smell forever, but you're not likely to hang onto a dirty diaper for too long anyway!

When our fancy diaper pail stopped working and began smelling truly awful whenever we had a diaper in there more than a few hours, I began... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Good size but highly scented bags, November 4, 2011

I bought these for an older adult at our retirement community who uses day "diapers" she needs to dispose of. These are strongly scented with an extremely powerful "baby powder" smell, I guess to disguise the odor of baby diapers, but I find them too strong for my nose, almost unpleasant. I would not want to be forced to breathe in that aroma. However, my older friend likes them and does not mind the scent. The bags are a good size with ends that can tie nicely, and are a strong plastic so won't tear. They'd make good "doggie bags" as well.

After researching diaper disposal systems, we decided to give these a trial, as we were getting ready to leave on vacation. We live in an apartment complex and can't throw the diapers out immediately, but generally take out the trash every day or so. These have worked wonderfully. Generally, I put one or two diapers in each baggie (that's about all they'll hold), then put several baggies in a plastic grocery bag. When the grocery bag is full, I throw it in the trash. So far, we haven't had any trouble with diaper smell. I keep some in my diaper bag for when we're out and about, too, and they're perfect! I just wish they came in a bigger pack and/or subscribe-and-save so I don't have to order so often.
